The data demonstrate the importance of these key data points and the importance of data quality with regard to the AHAR and PIT reporting. Particularly, while Hawaii’s total chronically homeless (1,180) for 2013 was slightly above the median (874) and below average (2,021) for the 54 states and territories represented, Hawaii has one of the highest chronically homeless per capita of any state or territory.
