The Advocacy Committee leads the Continuum of Care’s efforts to advance policies that support housing and homelessness solutions. The committee develops and recommends advocacy strategies, legislative priorities, and positions of support or opposition for membership approval. Once approved, the committee acts on behalf of the CoC to advocate for key issues at the local, state, and federal levels. They also build relationships with elected officials, provide district-specific data, and organize community stakeholders to strengthen advocacy efforts. All official position statements are posted publicly on the Lead Agency’s website to ensure transparency.
