The Planning Committee leads strategic planning and funding efforts for the Oʻahu Continuum of Care (CoC). The committee works with the Lead Agency to complete the annual HUD CoC Program funding application and regularly updates Hawaiʻi’s Plan to End Homelessness. It develops funding priorities, evaluates project performance, and recommends funding decisions for Advisory Board and General Membership approval. The committee also represents the CoC in legislative discussions related to long-term planning, funding, and homelessness prevention initiatives. Additionally, it helps establish project scoring criteria, trains evaluation committee members, and collaborates with stakeholders to develop a housing plan for Oʻahu. Through these efforts, the committee ensures that CoC resources are effectively aligned with community needs and priorities.
